Visits and Appointments

Most students are seen by the school doctor on a walk-in, first come, first served basis during clinic hours.

Services are available Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri. For specific walk-in hours please see below.

Services

Northwest Nazarene University Wellness Center provides confidential health services for all full-time students. Health Services provides the following:

  • Assessment and treatment of acute and chronic medical illnesses and injuries
  • Basic First Aid
  • Health Screenings
  • Lab services provided by Interpath Lab
  • Clinical support for routine treatments (per physician order)
  • Health promotion
  • Referrals to community resources

Health Records and Immunization Policy

Health Services is dedicated to a healthy campus environment; current health information and immunizations are a vital part of that goal. A Health and Medical History Form and documentation of Immunization Records are required of all students.

Domestic Student Immunizations

There are 4 required vaccinations that need to be included in immunization records:

  1. TDaP/Td (Tetanus/Pertussis) - within last 10 years
  2. Meningitis - initial or booster dose after age 16
  3. MMR (Measles/Mumps/Rubella) - Dose 1&2
    OR a blood titer to show immunity
  4. Varicella (Chicken Pox)

International Student Immunizations

There are 6 required vaccinations that need to be included in an International Student's immunization records:

  1. TDaP/Td (Tetanus/Pertussis) - within last 10 years

  3. Polio - 4 doses in childhood or 3 adult doses
  4. Tuberculosis Screening

Travel Advice

Students traveling for mission work or for pleasure may consult with the doctor regarding travel health needs. The Wellness Center, however, is not a travel clinic. Recommendations are based on the following sources: www.cdc.gov/travel and current medical literature. Students are encouraged to review CDC (Center for Disease Control) website information for their specific destination(s).
